This white paper argues that improving the region’s resilience and sustainability requires a holistic, systems approach and integrated prospective action that recognizes the impact of the various underlying conditions and vulnerabilities on amplifying disaster risks, and their link to growing trends of interconnected food and energy insecurities, and migration.
